Children face many of the same
health concerns adults do. Childhood obesity, high cholesterol,
diabetes and even childhood depression are all conditions that
physical activity can help prevent. Teaching a child to take
care of their body can demonstrate to them that a healthy lifestyle
is important at any age. Physical fitness in adolescents helps
to build healthy bones and muscles, helps manage weight and
contributes to a child's overall quality of life. Children learn
how to exercise in a proper and effective way. They are taught
what to do and how to do it, but most importantly, they are
