ACE Certified Personal Trainer
Background:
Shelley grew up playing sports with her father and 4 brothers.
As a teenager, she played a great deal of tennis and discovered
a love for racquet sports. She began playing racquetball in
college, and added nautilus to her fitness regimen as well.
Taking her racquetball seriously, Shelley became frustrated
when back problems hindered her ability to play up to her potential.
She sought John’s help, and after working with him, was
amazed not only by how much better her back felt, but by the
significant improvement his strength training program made in
her game. She quickly advanced to the next level and currently
plays in a men’s B+ Racquetball League.
Shelley received a B.S. in accounting from Penn State University,
but always knew the exercise and fitness environment was where
her true passion prevailed. John recognized her intellect toward
body mechanics and physiology. Under John’s supervision
and encouragement, she acquired national certification with
A.C.E. in the year 2002.
A child of the baby-boomer generation, she is an inspiration
to older clients who seek her out for motivation. With her diverse
clientele, she has learned that everyone’s individual
needs must be carefully tweaked in order to make each workout
unique.
Shelley has three teenaged children, and can, therefore, identify
with and understand the special concerns and needs of the younger
parents’ health and fitness goals.
